While we commemorate the summer and winter equinoxes with our Summer and Winter Solstice Ales we don’t have a beer eponymous with spring. It’s a glorious time of year in Boonville when Barkley and the Beers of the forest emerge from hibernation and venture into Beer Park hungry and thirsty drawn by the yeasty breeze from the bubbling fermentation tanks. It’s also a transitional time marked by swings in both weather and taste.

We pack our pic-a-nic baskets, mindful of the thirsty Beers and indecisive as to which Gose to pair with our tuna salad and apple pie. Do we choose a Cherry Gose to pair with the blooming blossoms? We do love watermelons with a picnic – how about a Briney Melon Gose? Raspberries and oranges are our favorite fruits; those might be tasty.
